Probably the way most people know about and access TGCA is through the website. It is there that, each week, uniquely Australian voices are given a platform to speak into the joys and challenges of gospel ministry in Australia. As the chair of TGCA I am proud of what our team has been able to build. As an Australian Christian, I am personally grateful for the constant flow of high-quality, Australian-context-sensitive content which has encouraged me in my faith and spurred me on in my ministry.
TGCA Regional Networks
The other big part of TGCA’s ministry is encouraging and fostering connections and partnerships for evangelicals. This part of our work is less prominent, but no less important. For example, there was recently a men’s convention in South East Queensland, hosted by the local TGCA Network, which drew over 400 people. In August of this year, the Perth Gospel Partnership will be drawing men and women from around WA to pray for and collaborate on gospel ministry in Western Australia. Indeed, at the time of writing, over 780 people have attended TGCA events this year.
No Gospel Minister Left Isolated
Some military units have a “no man left behind” policy. Part of the dream of TGCA is that we could have a “no gospel minister left isolated” vision (or words to that effect!). Australia is a big place. Some contexts are very remote. Some ministry is very lonely. But there is no good reason for any minister in Australia to be alone. Ministry can be hard, but it doesn’t need to be isolating. Through movements like the SEQ TGCA Network, and through organisations such as Perth Gospel Partnership, we want to see an Australia in which we are better together.
Yours,
Rory
