A New National Director for TGCA

Position Description

The Gospel Coalition Australia is prayerfully seeking a new National Director.

  • Full-time role.
  • Location: Work from home + regular interstate travel.
  • Initial two-year contract.

The Gospel Coalition is represented in nineteen countries. Its mission is to help renew and unify the contemporary church in the ancient gospel.

In partnership with local churches and Christian organisations, The Gospel Coalition Australia (TGCA) wants to see the number of gospel centred Christians in Australia double over the next ten years. Key to this is the encouragement of believers to commend and contend for the gospel in both words and actions; and connect with one another to pray, dream, and work together to see how this might happen in their local context.

The National Director is charged with planning, implementing, and propelling this vision through existing structures (such as our widely respected website and growing series of networks and events) and new initiatives. A key component of the role is progressing the financial stability of the organisation, ensuring it is resourced to grow into the opportunities the Lord provides.

We would love to talk if you are a mature Christian leader who demonstrates:

  • A deep and articulate commitment to the gospel, and alignment with TGCA’s theological convictions.
  • Significant senior leadership experience in a church, Christian ministry, or not-for-profit context.
  • Proven strategic leadership experience, including the development and implementation of organisational plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and financial oversight.
  • Strong organisational management skills, including team leadership and governance engagement.
  • High-level communication skills (written and verbal), with experience speaking publicly and representing an organisation.
  • Demonstrated relational credibility within evangelical networks.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Working With Children Check/National Police Check.
  • Active participation in a Reformed evangelical church.
