Karl Hood

Karl Hood is a registered GP and ordained minister with over 25 years experience in pastoral counselling and mental health practice in a range of contexts. He served for a decade on the pastoral team of his home church and continues there as an elder.

He is executive director and cofounder of Biblical Counselling Australia; lead counsellor at Melbourne East Christian Counselling Centre; and teaches pastoral counselling at PTC Melbourne (an ACT college). He completed theological and counselling studies at CCEF and Westminster Theological Seminary and is undertaking a DPhil in trauma and the Psalms at the University of Oxford.

When not working, he enjoys time with family and tending to a large garden and arboretum.
