The linked discussion paper was originally prepared as a paper for The Gospel Coalition Australia’s National Christian Leaders Mini-Summit on the topic ‘The Future of the Gospel in Australia’ held at Moore Theological College on 19th June 2025.
The ideas explored and the vision cast in this paper were warmly received at the Mini-Summit. Andrew subsequently delivered a condensed version of the same material at the EV Church Staff Conference at Caves Beach on 20th October 2025.

Andrew Heard has been involved in Christian ministry for over 25 years. In 1996, together with his wife Cathie established a new church on the Central Coast of NSW called Central Coast Evangelical Church (now EV Church). In 2005 he was elected the founding President of a new association of churches called the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, and, In 2009, became a founding director of Geneva Push. He is married to Cathie and they have 4 grown children.
