There was so much to chat about with Clare and James, from the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS), that we picked up where we left off in the previous episode: The Whole Church Raising Up Apprentice Pastors and talked about the importance of growing character in emerging leaders. While it is good for pastors and ministry leaders to have the right skills, the New Testament always draws our attention to the question of character and integrity in leadership. Given this focus in the Scriptures, we must be attentive to growing our godly character, and encourage this same growth in those who aspire to be leaders among God’s people.
