God's Yes to Women

In the gospel, we do not simply find words that regulate or condemn us; we find the perfect law that gives freedom. The gospel gives forgiveness, righteousness, transformation and fruitful service in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

God’s word says no to the old self of sin and death, but says a yes of new life and resurrection hope to God’s fallen world. God’s gospel yes is for all who believe—Jew and Gentile, male and female, slave and free.

In this series of articles, our contributors engage with the recently published anthology God’s Yes to Women: Why the Bible’s Vision of Partnership Is Good News for Us All (Wipf and Stock, 2026). Their responses find both areas of agreement and appreciation, as well as key points of difference and respectful critique. They help us clarify what the Scriptures say about God’s vision for human beings, created in the image of God, created male and female, and what that means for faithfully serving him.

Our goal in this series is to better understand the shape of and deilght in the goodness of God’s yes to women.
