The Doubling Vision: a story and an opportunity, with Bill Salier

We return for the new year, in the wake of some exciting developments at The Gospel Coalition Australia and among Australian Christian leaders.

In TGCA we have established a Board of Directors to enact our vision and mission, with new directors joining some of the existing Council members. In this episode we are joined by Bill Salier, the Chair of TGCA and also chair of the the Board of Directors.

We also had the Doubling Vision statement developed and published. We chat with Bill about how this Doubling Vision came about and what might be possible if we pray and work together toward this goal, across Australia.

Jonathan Holt is the Senior Minister at Lanyon Valley Anglican Church, which Jonathan and his wife Ruth helped plant in 2006. Jonathan also serves on the TGCA Council and Board of Directors.

Bill Salier works as a consultant with the GAFCON Theological Education Network. This is a network of Bible colleges, relating to one another with the overall aim of providing sound theological education to serve Anglican churches around the world. He taught New Testament at Moore College for eighteen years and was the Principal of Youthworks College for six years, before taking up this latest role.

Bill is married, has three girls, and lives in the inner city of Sydney. He became a Christian in his late teens, started working life as a primary school teacher before completing a BTh at Moore College, and then served as an assistant minister in an Anglican church in Sydney’s southwest.

Bill is the Chair of both The Gospel Coalition Australia Council and its Board.
